I just thought, given the time of year, a poppy would be appropriate for we who wear them to add to our sigs.

As a member of the American Aux. Post 292 I can ALWAYS be seen with a poppy twisted around something or other! I also have a pretty red bow & a couple flage pins. A new flag on the car & My usual flag outside my cabin!
We just had a flag burning ceramony. Some of the guys bought an old postal mail drop box & painted it red, white & blue. Anyone who had a tattered flag was asked to dring it to the drop box. Then on a certain day we all turned out to burn them. With The Color Gaurd & Honor Gaurd standing by for a twenty-one gun salute! We burned over one thousand!
As my father, a WWII flyer for the Navy Air Corps had just been buried at a local Military funeral, I have the folded flag from his coffin. I'm awaiting a frame that will hold not only his flag but his various hats & metals. **=
