not ultimate martial art, but for people who are interested in genuine, modern self-defence...
Tai-Jutsu was invented by Soke Jack McKeown about 30 years ago. It's a combination of thai boxing, western boxing, judo and ju-jutsu. It teaches practical self-defence for situations which could happen in a competition, on the street or in a bar.
It combines, punching, kicking, groundwork, weapons, disengagements, throws and locks and restraints. It's available for anyone to learn, men, women, children and disabled people.
It is the most practical form of self defence I have ever trained in, I've been training for about 3 years now and have a purple belt, I have been in a situation where I couldn't run or talk my way out of it and I am really glad I had the knowledge to make a gap for running. (The two guys who made the gap weren't so glad though!)
