If he was flirting with her, he was being pretty annoying at it. I was at that US-Canada campout with Vidmaster and I was with the girl and boy in question most of the day. All morning and early afternoon he was bothering and pestering her, knocking of her visor or throwing sand. Vidmaster did her a favor.
