My sister Randi claims to see and feel things, i.e. spirits. She and her family live in a Queen Anne style home in California's Bay Area that was originally built by a sea captain at the beginning of the twentieth century. Local legend has it the captain fell to his death from the second-floor bedroom dormer window. They moved into the house in the early 70's and began having strange things happen to them from the outset. One sunny day my sister was cleaning the window in question and having already cleaned the inside of the panes, was sitting on the sill, leaning out and cleaning the outside surfaces. She began to tip back, cried out, and felt someone grab her ankles to steady her. Relieved, she continued to clean then leaned in to thank her husband or kids--whoever--had grabbed her. No one was there. Not only that, but no one was home--the husband was in the backyard and the kids were down the street playing. In addition, anyone who stays in this room (it was first my niece Marianne's room and then my nephew Evan's) does not get a good night's sleep. My parents stayed in this room as guests and claimed that they were kept up all night by "a creepy feeling someone was watching them" and my nephew Evan claimed to see a white figure hovering over him while he was in bed.
After years of this, my sister got used to these sorts of things. Several summers ago she and her husband came to visit me in Montana. I took them to a local ghost town, Garnet, for the day. Now, several buildings in this town are supposedly haunted, in particular the four-story Wells Hotel. While up on the third floor peering into a back bedroom my sister turned to me and said "Let's go NOW". She looked sick. Once we were outside she said that someone put their hand on her shoulder as we approached the room and did not let go until we had reached the first floor. Needless to say, there were only the two of us on the third floor.

I screamed and nearly wet my pants when I read your scary tale!!!
Perhaps you should petition the government. After all, every civilized culture should have a day in which their offspring get to blackmail and badger innocent civilians for cheap candy.
