Space have, so far, got four albums under their belt - Spiders, Invasion of the Spiders (a double CD featuring new tracks as well as remixes of tracks from Spiders - this album represents some of the group's poorest work, I have to say), Tin Planet and, in July 2000, Love You More Than Football.
Although many of Space's songs are very well known, they receive very little recognition for them. Very few people will ever claim to have heard of Space, their single "The Ballad of Tom Jones", in which Tommy dueted with Cerys of Catatonia, is generally attributed to Catatonia themselves, and it is not uncommon for people to comment that "Female of the Species is so well known, surely Space didn't write it... perhaps they did a cover version..."
In general, Space's music is characterised by its lack of seriousness and the presence of a large amount of humour in the songs. Many of the songs on their albums, particularly Spiders, exhibits a kind of mock violence, and may be seen by many as vaguely insulting. Recently, their music has become a lot tamer - probably for the better - but no less enjoyable, with tracks such as "Be There" and "A Little Biddy Help From Elvis" from the album Tin Planet being very memorable.
