- Scone Palace (pronounced Scoon)

Edinburgh Architectural Salvage Yard - a great place for furniture, fireplaces, who knows what else besides. the sort of place you might find treasure forgotten in a corner. There is a similar place called 'Holyrood Architectural Salvage'. It's actually a couple of miles from Holyrood Palace, at the other side of the Queen's Holyrood Park
The Burrell Collection doesn't have a website, but you can find a bit of info here
Antiques Scotland
has got to be a useful site for you
I've mentioned Phillips, the international auctioneers, whoi have a branch on George Street.
Here's a few smaller antiques shops in or near the centre:
- Bow Well Antiques (general site with some info)
- Buccleuch Antiques,
(Pronounced Bu-clue, emphasis on 2nd syllable) one out of many shops in a 'district' of antique shops on Edinburgh's southside. The district runs for maybe a mile on both sides of one of the arterial roads running south from the centre - London Road Antiques
- a slightly bigger shop about a mile east of the City Centre
