Its one of my favorite movies.

If you hadn't seen it I was going to recommend it. I am a Steven King fan and a Tom Hanks fan as well.

I don't know if I mentioned it, but when I first came to Tennessee I worked at the Main Prison in Nashville. It was this prison they featured in the Green Mile. If you watch the movie closely you will see a scene where they show the prison from the front during a thunder storm. The effect looks like Frankenstin's castle. From about January until September of 1981 I lived (in the guards quarters) on the Third floor of this building. Penny and I did a lot of our courting in the parking lot out front.

It was on death row (unit 6) that I met James Earl Ray.
