Well, I s'pose this is a hobby. I can't resist cutting snippets from newspapers, especially if they're scienceuy things, but I'm also interested in history, archaeology, literature. I refer to these articles in my teaching

It started when I was a child and I used to keep scrap books. However, I've found that I could find the articles more easily idf I inter-leaved them between the appropriate pages of text books, encyclopaedias etc etc.

I still have specialist scrap books for Recipes and Gardening, but many of my articles have no logical home, so they're in a pile on my desk.

My wife thinks this activity is an obsession and it drives her mad smiley - sadface.

It doesn't seem *too* bad. Apparently cutting out and collecting newspaper obituaries is quite popular with some. Your desk sounds like it's a right mess though.smiley - biggrin
