Wrea Green

2 Conversations

Wrea Green near Lytham, Lancashire, England, is quite possibly the most British place in Britain.

The village green (typically British) has a Cricket pitch and a duck pond on it. Around the green is a church, a post office, a primary school, lots of whitewashed cottages...oh, and a red telephone box.

And there's a windmill just behind it.

OK, so it's missing a chippy, but you can sit on the green for hours wondering whether you are still in the real world, or have suddenly been transported to a quaint village where everything seems surreal

like the prisoner...
