Fenway Park, Boston, MA, US

Fenway Park is a baseball stadium in Boston (the capital of the state of Massachusetts). It is the home the Red Sox, about the 8th best baseball team in the US. Built in 1912, it is the oldest baseball field still in use today. Because it was constructed in the middle of the city, squeezed in between surrounding streets, it has a very oddly shaped playing field. It is also remarkably small, holding about 33,500 people (the average ballpark can seat 50,000), so no matter where you sit you'll have a good view of the game. Fenway's uniqueness and age makes it one of the "geat American ballparks", so if you're in Massachusetts during the baseball season (April-September) and have any interest in baseball at all, it's definitely worth going to a game there.
The best seats in the park are behind home plate, but it doesn't matter much where you sit; the cheapest seats in the park, the bleachers, will give you a great view. It's a good idea to buy your tickets in advance. However, it is possible to go see a game at the last minute, if you don't mind paying extra; there are always "scalpers" around the entrance to the ballpark who can sell you tickets. Parking is a bit of a problem--the field is in the middle of a big city, so get there a little early and be prepared to walk. Food is available at the stadium--there are plenty of hot dogs and peanuts--but these are rather expensive, so you might want to bring some food with you. And be prepared for a lot of noise--Red Sox fans are some of the most enthusiastic in the US!
Have fun! <biggrin>
