why is scotland so rubbish ???
the weather is crap.
the people are moans.
the food is realy bad unless you
are prepared to spend a fortune at
a posh eatery.
the attractions are extortionate.
edinburghs council tax is unreal
and its all to pay for a street party
at new year that edinburgh people
cant get tickets for.
scottish clothes shops are virtualy
non existent.
the pubs are expensive.
we are pathetic at sport.
we cater for the rich and ignore
the normal people.
the housing is a disgrace for council
tenants and house prices are out
of most peoples reach.
the teenagers are a bunch of *****.
the place is a big theme park for
tourists and we are hidden away on
the outskirts.
and there is a shortage of ethnic
minorites wich are needed to stop
racial ignorance.
and the biggest problem we have is
we are far to close to england!!!

the weather is crap, boiling hot or freezing cold, but somehow always muggy.....
the people are moans on the rare occasions they talk to you, which is only if you have somehow managed to 'invade' personal space.
the food is realy bad unless you
are prepared to spend a fortune at
a posh eatery.
the attractions are extortionate.
London council tax is phsyically painful
and its all to pay for a certain persons new wallpaper.
London clothes shops are more tha just bleedin expensive, stupidly full and not very well positioned.
the pubs are expensive, snooty and full of fizzy larger and 'financial advisers'.
the whol country are pathetic at sport, but excessively loud and monotonous on the subject..
the rich are catere for, and the normal peeps live prety much a hand to mouth existence.
the housing is a disgrace period. No matter where you live, it's hideously expensive, even just for renting, council or otherwise...
the teenagers are a bunch of self centered little ***** who don't care about anything but their hair, drinka nd drugs....
the place is one HUGE theme park for
tourists and those of us who HAVE to live here, because we can't afford the suburbs extortionate rent AND the equally stupid transport costs, hidden away on the outskirts.

And the biggest problem is that it IS england!!!

Well If you don't like it........

You are not rembering the fact that the Museum of Scotland is free perhaps - its cheap, its quite cheerful, and the roof is water tight.

What more does one need?

Surprisingly, against all my expectations, I was quite taken with London when I was there, but that might have been because

1. The weather was GORGEOUS
2. My work was paying for it
3. It was the first time I'd been, so I wasn't wearied already
4. I was only there for two days
5. I spent most of it in the pub..
6. ..where because of the rarity of my presence from far-flung Glasgow, my London pals refused to let me get a round in.
7. I know I don't have to live there.

Now, someone has to get me to like Edinburgh, as I've not been very often (ridiculous, as it's just up the road), and I'm sure it's pleasant enough when you get to know it.

I want to become a more tolerant person!

Edinburgh rocks.

May be moaning again, but I was not taken with Embra toon when I lived there either.....but once again, I didn't have the cash to enjoy it to any extent....

London is not as bad as I ranted (I was just getting my own back for the continual Rants of this threads originator) The place has improved greatly with freinds to share experiences with and having actually found cheap, clean accommodation.

And anyway Toc.....don't rub it in just cos you moving to points North at some point in the not too distant

Well, It will be good to get somewhere where I don't have to fork out over half my take home on rent and is certainly better value
