previous post asked if buffy resented being the slayer

yeah i think buffy totally resents being the slayer......right from the beginning she's desparately tryin to be a normal girl and get back to the cordelia type of life that she had before she was called. although she quickly realises that she wouldnt be happy in cordelias world any more and values her friendships more she still wants out of the whole slayer thing. she does come to like it in a way because it makes her unique, special, and after all who doesnt want superpowers.......... i dont think she would ever give up being the slayer even if she was given the chance, possibly if on coming to sunnydale she had had the chance to stop she could have then, but now it's too far gone.

i vaguely remember willow or xander saying something about now they know they cant just walk away. i think this holds true for buffy.

Maybe we can a theories about everyone so when the conversation gets to that point we can take it over there, what do you think?

I've been throwing this around for the last couple of days, and I still can't see that she does resent being the slayer, obviously at times she does when she has to make choices or sacrifices above the call of duty, as in the gift. But on the whole I think that Buffy would rather be a slayer than not.

Buffy just seems to resent her life at the moment, her job (the paid one), her responsibilies as a Guardian, her own lack of personal happiness, I don't think has a lot to do with being the slayer and all to do with Buffy.

Everyone seems to be in 'self destruct' mode in season 6
