Lymm, Cheshire

2 Conversations

Where?

Lymm is a medium sized (but unfortunately growing fast) village in the north of Rural Cheshire.

Situated near the intersection of the M6 and M56 motorways, Lymm has become a popular place for people who want to escape inner city town life. This has caused a lot of housing developments in recent years taking over a great deal of the green field sites.

When?

The village itself is mentioned in the Doomsday Book and has a long and varied history.

What?

Also mentioned in the Doomsday Book is a church existing on the site where the present St Mary the Virgin Anglican Church may be found.
