Long-haired Lithuanian pygmy elephant

Approximately twenty-five centimetres in height, and resembling a miniature purple woolly mammoth, these animals (or at least their three-inch tusks) could revolutionise the miniature-piano industry. The pygmy elephant is a herbivore, subsisting on a diet of sauerkraut and brussell sprouts. The first sighting was in 1894 by a drunken hobo on the streets of London. According to the hobo`s report, the elephant was leading a tour group of hippopotami on a circuit of Westminster. This still represents the most reliable sighting to date, emphasising just how elusive these creatures can be.
