Lager ( whats going on ) ?

Time for a rant about what is happening to the state of beer available to buy in this country . I hope that people who drink lager from cans or bottles will have begun to notice that it is all starting to taste the same ! why is this you ask ? well for many years now alot of brands have been brewed under licence in the UK reather than in the country of origin the biggest exponent of this must be Stella Artois the best selling premium strenght beer in the land which in my opinion is crap if you can be bothered to find the stella brewed in Belgium the difference is huge especially in the bottled format which is a delicious refreshing hoppy drink not some sickly old rubbish . Saddened this week to see another bastion of the export market San Miguel now being brewed by Bulmers in the UK again the two products side by side are poles apart in flavour not to mention the standardisation of the alcohol to 5% .
Surely the labelling of a product as " export " and then producing it in the UK is against some law or other Carlsberg , Fosters etc . I am being forced to drink just a few brands now chiefly Nastro Azzuro Peroni and Becks as even the Imported Stella I drink seems to have changed taste and now says just brewed in Belgium not Leuven anymore !
A final rant will be directed at Ice beers , what is the point ? this seems to be a process wholly designed to remove flavour from beers . It is just as well that the adverts for most of these products are very good because the products are total rubbish and it must be sales by association . Anyone else with any thoughts / suggestions on what i can drink this summer ?
