Misty night in Wellington

Hi Nick, Marie-Christine and John, not sure if this is the best way to contact you?

Its Thursday evening, 8th Jan and a very misty night here in Wellington. Hope the weather is better where you are?

I would love to catch up with you all when you are in Wellington. Any idea yet of your ETA? Nick may know how to contact me, or I guess you can contact me via this conversation? I'm not too well up on this new technology I'm afraid.

Looking forward to seeing you soon

Regards

JMcDougall

Julie, lovely to hear from you, no I think the weather was a fair bit worse where we were way out off Cape Farewell - but now making good speed up the Strait - we're past Stephens Island and will be off the Brothers rock about 1am Friday night, planning to be off Wellington Heads by 8am tomorrow (Sat) morning and into Chaffers Marina in Lambton Harbour by mid morning maybe.

Be great to see you and catch up

Nick

Hi Richard - Nick said you might be able to send this to English Rose VI when you are downloading stuff to them. Its not urgent as you will see. Thanks very much. Julie McDougall

Kia ora from Wellington. What a great send off you had yesterday. I had a fantastic view of the proceedings at Chaffers from the Lady Elizabeth. Fantastic coup to have Helen Clark,Prime Minister and Marian Hobbs, MP there to sign the petition. Also neat to have all those kayaks out to farewell you, especially the "paddle salute" they gave you as you left the marina. Very sad seeing you disappearing over the horizon.

Hibiscus report for M.C - another new one has flowered and there are three buds at various stages of development. Its a lovely reminder of our time together, Thanks.

Nick - I have been busy catching up on work for my MA proposal as I am meeting with my supervisor on Weds - so no time yet to listen to cassettes or view CD - hope to have time in the evenings after work this week.

Regards

Julie
