The Band
The Dave Matthews Band, founded in Charlottesville, Virginia, USA, Earth, in 1991 is one of the greatest rock bands of all time. They create and play spiritual music with a collective talent near unparalleled.
The Band is made up of the lead singer / guitarist - Dave Matthews, a violinist - Boyd Tinsley, a saxophonist - LeRoi Moore, a bass player - Stefan Lessard, and the drummer - Carter Beauford. Each is a master at his respective instrument, and have guest starred on many other albums.

The albums are remarkable both musically and creatively, as they all have the 'Dave Matthews Band' feel to them, but are each different in so many ways.
The Concerts
The concerts are inspirational. Even sitting in the cheap seats is more desirable than being - well, a lot of places. Some of the songs have instrumental solos that go on for ten or fifteen minutes. This is a Dave Matthews Band trademark of sorts. The crowds love it. The band sells out nearly every venue it plays, and in the year 2000 was awarded Best Touring Band of the Year.
