ahem.
There's so much irony about these days that one doesn't always get the context of a message right.
I should have asked if it's easier because the system of teaching makes it easier to get A's or because the exam standards are low.

Far easier to get A's in America. We also have to do general studies, which is a waste of time!!! ARGH!!!

All the good stuff
Did I make a formal application to be the Keeper and Protector of YAY!!!?
I'm doing it in an unofficial capacity but I need advice on things like an uniform etc.
Well not so much advice as input; (being a fashion guru).
So consider this a formal; "I the undersigned..etc." application for the position.

Hahahhaa... I like the idea... that's really permission enough, as long as you are decent...
hee he ehee... and the uniform seems to be nudity...
I like muses to come up with things and make them grow in their own way....

This thread started sinking into the h2g2 bog but I caught it in time.
How could I forget about the old men
I was thinking something along the lines of Druid's clothing might be appropriate for YAY!!! ceremonies.
What do you think?

::Enters in full Druidic (white) regalia with a gold YAY!!! carved out in art-nouveau on a gold chain around his neck.::
SO what do you think? Not too understated?

Too pretentious?

Ah well back to the drawing board(or Tiffanys)

Gosh this page took forever to load.
The Boy Scouts used to have one week in the year when they would go round people's houses and offer to do some work for a shilling.
A shilling was a pre-decimal coin worth 5pence of today's money and it was called a "bob".
The money went to help keep the Scout movement going as far as I know.
If a Scout knocked on your door he would say, "bob a job week" and you gave him some small thing to do. Of course some people took advantage and had the poor boy doing something like weeding the garden.
