Project Description
An introduction to basic concepts of gardening, including practical advice for the novice or hapless home gardener.
This project will explore fundamental principles of horticulture, including a description of soil and soil management practises; simple plant propagation (division, cuttings, seed); site selection and preparation; planting techniques; basic pruning rationale, methodology, and timing; pest control, using Integrated Pest Management, stressing alternatives to chemical control measures; and basic elements of good landscape design.
