A Conversation for What is an h2g2 University Project?

So, exactly what sort of requirments?

I've had a look through what University Reasearchers have to do, but what sort of deadlines would be asked and how many entries are expected within the 6 weeks? Basically, how much work is expected from a university researcher? I'm thinking in terms of available time on my part. However, I am really intereseted in starting a project on a subject i find really interesting that I have in mind!

Hi Spangled Man,

How much you write is entirely up to you, as long as it's over the minimum amount (3 entries or so). If you want to do a larger project, deadlines can very easily be extended: they're not so much deadlines as guidelines. You can have a Douglas Adams approach to them to a certain extent. smiley - smiley

All sounds fair enough. I shall go away and put my thinking hat on for a bit and see what I can come up with. Is it a problem if a project starts of outlining a few entries with a view to expand later or would the powers that be prefer a more definate proposal and stick to that?

A combination of those two would seem perfect - well-defined enough to be comprehensible, but loosely-defined enough to allow later expansion. smiley - smiley

Cool. All sounds fine then. I shall begin sorting it all out as soon as I get a minute or 60!
