A Conversation for What is an h2g2 University Project?

Hi. I'm just wondering where I can find the details of the sub-editing process for Project entries. The Film Composers Project is coming together now, and we have our sub-ed, but we're not sure how the sub-editing is arranged for University Projects.
Any help you can give would be appreciated.
The Prophet.

Hi Prophet,
For University projects, the subbing is done as follows:
* When you consider the project 'finished and ready for subbing', you contact me, telling me who will be doing the sub-editing. The Sub should be one of the 'official' Subs (or a recent one, at least).
* I then give editing privileges to that Sub for all the pages in your project. This means that when they see the pages, they will also see an 'Edit Entry' button, as if they wrote the page themselves.
* The Sub then does their expert work on them, and copies-and-pastes their subbed entry back into that page, and clicks the 'Update Entry' button to save it.
* When this process is finished for the whole project, the author should contact me again, and we'll pass an in-house eye or two over it before publishing it in pride-of-place in the Front Page for a week.
Because it is the original copies of the pages that are edited (and not copies, as happens for Edited Guide Entries), you, as the author, should keep a complete set of pages off-line in case the Sub does a less-than-perfect job, or (heaven forbid) accidentally deletes them.
I'll add all this to the University pages at some point - you're right to point out its absence.
Cheers,
Chris

Righto - all added now: http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/A540299 (down at the bottom).
So, all you have to do is let me know who the Sub is and I'll give them editing rights when you're ready.

Our sub-ed is the divine - or possibly infernal - Joanna, Princess of Darkness, etc.
The project is now mostly completed. I'm having some difficulty chasing up one of my co-authors however, and I wonder if we could apply for another week's extension to see if I can't run down Dr Gonzo and his Bernard Herrmann article?

Of course - take all the time you need.
I'll add Joanna's name to the list of the damned... er, I mean Subs.

Cheers.
I'm increasingly frustrated by the failure of DoctorGonzo to reply to any attempts to contact him. Since everything else seems more or less done, I may have to drop the Herrmann article from the project. I'll let you know once everything seems square.
Thanks again,
The Prophet.

Hi Chris.
With some regret, I've removed Bernard Herrmann from the article list, and DoctorGonzo from the researchers list. The rest of the Project is now ready to be transferred to Joanna for sub-edding.
Thanks for all your help,
The Prophet
