Not really sure what you mean there, B. The badge for the University is the Field Researchers badge.

Sorry, not explaining myself well.

Just a random thought that it would be nice to differentiate between those who did field research for the first incarnation of the University, and those who do it for the second incarnation of the University. Some peeps will do it for both, and others won't bother or wont have had the chance in the first place you see.

Actually I rather like having a badge you can't get any more. smiley - winkeye

Incidentally, there is an exhibition in Manchester this weekend the blurb for which reads as follows:

Status Symbols:
identity and belief on [sic] modern badges
Until 30 October 2005
An exploration of the symbolic power of badges.

I am actually quite tempted. I've never really liked badges, not since the Brownies, and it's only been reinforced by Napoleon's comment about men dying 'for ribbons'.

I'm rambling aren't I? smiley - sorry

The long and the short of it is do you have any plans for a new badge to celebrate the reopened University, or are you going to recycle the old one?

Ben
