Then listen to Radio4 - there's lots to listen to using iPlayer. (this is my sanity line) Failing that - there's stuff on Radio7 too. This way you can hear speech day and night - so you never need to feel completely isolated. And of course, there are usually interesting people here on hootoo to talk to 
and don't believe in that
