Carlisle is closest to the Scottish border, but there is another english team who play further north than Carlisle. As for Southhampton there are a number of teams further south
Question 93

Plymouth Argyle furthest South I would imagine.
Furthers east - Norwich City
Furthest West is probably Welsh - er... Swansea City?
Furthest North...Hartlepool?

Bright Blue Shorts Posted Sep 30, 2002
Northerly - if my memory serves me right Queens Park are English but playing in Scotland. And similarly there Scottish team playing in England ... just can't remember who it is ?!? Then again I might be mistaken.
Easterly - how about Gillingham, if Norwich or Ipswich are wrong.
Southerly - I think Torquay is a little further down the M5/A30 than Plymouth. It may also turn out to be the most WESTERLY therefore. Otherwise I'd go with either Swansea or Wrexham.

2 correct Orcus!
Plymouth Argyle plays it's home games furthest south.
Norwich City is situated most easterly.
But there is another team further north than Harlepool United or Carlisle United,
and a team who plays further west than Swansea, Bright Blue Shorts is on the right track with this one, but not the right team!

BBS Queens Park are Scottish, they play at Hampden, Berwick Rangers are English but play in the Scottish league so it can't be them. I'm going to take a bit of a guess (not having a map in front of me)are Newcastle United further north than Carlisle United.
Question 93
edmundo rossi Posted Oct 1, 2002
Well done Ardzil, Newcastle United do indeed play their football furthest north.
Just one more to get. Which team's ground is the most westernly in England?
Question 93
Orcus Posted Oct 2, 2002
Plymouth is well west of Torquay so if it's not Plymouth again then I'll go with
Exeter City
