Only one British club has had five world cup finalists play for them at one time or another, can you name the club and the players?

Aresnal I would guess.
Viera and Petit for two.
Or Could it be Manchester United.
Bobby Charlton, Nobby Stiles... (laurent Blanc hasn't I don't think), Fabien Barthez (?)

Hmmmm well my initial thought was Arsenal, but Orcus got there first.
So if it wasn't them or Man Utd, my mind reads the question sees the word British and thinks aha Rangers, no Celtic, no Swansea!
Seriously though how about Tottenham Hotspur - Ossie Ardiles, Christian Ziege, Klinsman,
Perhaps it's the classic trick question and we're actually talking about the Allies XI in "Escape to Victory" with Ossie, Bobby Moore, Pele, and er, um ....

No! This is not a trick question! No one has given the correct team yet but two players have been mentioned that have both played for this British football club! Mmmm!

Well then it is either West Ham (Moore, Hurst & the other from '66) or Fulham (as that is where he went next).

Perhaps Chelsea ... Petit and erm, erm, erm some of the boys from '66

Orcus Posted Jul 4, 2002
Chelsea have also had Zola (1994 final), Leboeuf, erm...
didn't they have some '66ers as well...
Actually I now favour chelsea...

On a different note, I think Martin Peters was the 3rd West Ham player.
'66 were:
Banks, Wilson, Cohen, Charlton, Moore, Ball, Charlton, Hunt, Stiles , Peters & Hurst.

Hmmm, I thought of Roberto di Matteo but looked up the 1994 final and found that not only did he not play, but neither did Zola

Wasn't there some French bloke, Lama I believe, who was a West Ham player and was in the 1998 World Cup squad? Not sure if he played though.

Orcus Posted Jul 4, 2002
Lama didn't play in the 1998 Final - Barthez did.
Liverpool have had Roger Hunt, Ditemar Hamann and Christian Ziege.
Keep getting stuck at 2 or 3 players.
My guess is it's either Man U or West Ham because some of the 1966 squad must be included for it to happen.
Try [Broken link removed by Moderator] it has a list of every match in every tournament. I've searched back through the whole thing and I still can't work it out
