New game, new game!
Muppet Posted Jun 4, 2001
We're fine, thanks. I found a nice new (to me) shop on Saturday and bought some new clothes for summer, so I'm happy. They'll be perfect for Morocco at Christmas (assuming I have the weather in Morocco right, I think its still hot in December).
Are you feeling better today? I've had some really awful bugs in my time - spent an entire week in bed/the bathroom once, that was fun.

Well, you do keep in touch with ONE of your fellow Muses...
D's just blowing some steam... Don't worry.
Who won the names competition, btw? (Remember that?)
December's still hot over here, but remember Morocco is in the desert, which means hot days and freezing, REALLY freezing nights! And cold is a relative term, anyway...

Morocco can't all be in the desert......
I won the name the Hefalump competition, since I decided to call her Penelope the Poignant Pachyderm. She seemed to like that, and I would never have been able to spell Gwyinevere the same two days running

That's what's so great about that name- it keeps changing!!! And my final suggestion was Laurel, remember?
Anyway- just hang around the Musehome from time to time, show some presence, and she'll be off your case...
Morocco is mainly in the desert (depends on where you stay), and it snows there every year, hun. Don't assume- check! That's my advice.

Well we have the guide book and I think it said the weather was going to be reasonable. Its further south than Spain and its OK there in the winter, but that doesn't take into account the desert effect. I will drag out the guide book again nearer the time and see what it says.
For the first week we will be touring around Morocco - Rabat, Casablanca, Marrakesh and places like that. The second week we are staying in a resort in Agadir.

Wow!! Lucky you! I always wanted to go to Morocco, for a Roots Trip- my grandma is Moroccan.
Is it the Lonely Planet that you count on? Coz I wouldn't trust a WORD those people have to say. I had a very bad experience with that silly guide...

I think its the Rough Guide, although now you mention it I'm not sure.
You have Moroccan roots? That's so cool! I have Welsh roots, which isn't nearly so exotic. I'm really looking forward to it, even though its a long long way away. My parents have a share of an apartment in Spain, and we used to go on holiday there all the time when I was a kid, and I always wanted to hop across to Tangier or Ceuta or somewhere, but they never took me

Awww... Poor Em!
Well- if it's any comfort, I hadn't been in a hotel untill the age of 13! And didn't leave the country untill 17!!
About my email- I hope you're not angry with me. I know it's kinda rude of me to ask, sorry.

Muppet Posted Jun 6, 2001
Not rude, just very un-English to ask
I'm afraid the answer is going to have to be no. Pete and I both agree on this. You haven't met him and I don't know him at all, and we're just not comfortable with that. I don't think your mum would be either - I thought the whole point of staying with us would be to keep you safe from strange men!

Ok, then. I'll tell him. And it wasn't strange MEN, it was a nice guy who was kind enough...
I feel like little red riding hood...
Ok- I hope he'll find somewhere else to stay.
Thanx

I think its the left. From the right I look like my brother
I'm a bit worried about this to be honest. Because we're in Oxford and you really want to be in London. So I'm worried about how you're going to get to London and back when you want to, and what you're going to do the rest of the time. And you're going to want to spend time with Bob somewhere.......
And I can't take the time off work because I need my holidays for later in the year coz I have to buy a wedding dress and I should think it will take ages and ages to find one I like.......
Maybe its because I don't know what you're expecting, so I don't know whether we and the house (AKA the pit) are gonna live up to that.

Any kind of public transportation will do just fine for me... If we're really that eager to spend a night together- we'll manage a B&B, I guess...
And his name's Mike, not Bob, I can't stand that name.
I don't expect anything- you SHOULD save your days off for that cause. I'll be ok, really. I'm sure I'll find what to do and have many people to see.
Don't worry!!
And about the dress: start looking now. Look at shops windows, and get a direction in your head. Then, when you're actually buying something, you'll know what you want, and it would be much easier!
New game, new game!
Muppet Posted Jun 6, 2001
Unfortunately its not that easy. I don't want a normal wedding dress, nothing white and lacy for me, so bridal shops are completely out. And I haven't even seen a picture of anything I would want to get married in, so I am completely free of ideas.
Anyway, I'm off home now.
Night night!
