The first thing to rember about visiting Larne is...... DON'T. Of all the godforsaken crummy joints on the planet, this has to rate as one of the most apathetic.
Iv'e only been living here most of my life and i'm still waiting for whatever it is to start. Maybe next year ? YES ?
Well anyway if you find yourself stranded in Larne on a cold, dark, night, I reccomend that you invest a fortune in a taxi and go to BELFAST for more friendly natives and a better ambience.
If you can't get a taxi then visit some of the less notorious pubs and enjoy the entertainment in places such as
THE KIILN .........Live bands (!!!!!!), restaurant, drinks promotions, big screen t.v. etc. etc. (ask the taxi driver about hiring body armour )
THE BAILLIE........Much the same as the Kiln but without the live music, restaurant and big screen tv as the Kiln. Don't forget the body armour and your personal life/incapacity/dismemberment insurance.
THE CLOSED HOTELS........Due to circumstances beyond the control of the Guide or it's researchers, certain of the Town's entertainment complexes have had to cease trading due to consumer apathy etc.
The Kings Arms........closed, demolished, and now trading as a supermarket.
Time to next Happy Hour.......about Infinity, plus a bit.
The Laharna.............closed, demolished, and currently an empty space on the ground.
Time to next Sunday Brunch, Nowhere to deliver the
