A Conversation for Deism: God without Religion
Intolerance of deists
Quixotic Started conversation Nov 14, 2001
My experience and knowledge of deism is little, but from what I saw on one of your recommended web sites it seems that deists are just as, if not more, intolerant of other beliefs that adherants to more established religions. Of course it would vary from deist to deist.
Also I understand that diest beleive in personal, not international, revelations from God. But what if God were to reveal to a person that one of the religions claiming to be revealed were true? I think people should have their spiritual lives directed by God, that he will 'lead us on paths of righteousness', Psalm 23,but should not rule out the possibility that he did set up one or more of the religions and might lead us there
