Just a quick suggestion about moderated posts.

It is easy to miss a a post when it is returned to the thread following moderation (for example on copyright material).

What is to stop the moderator posting into the thread a post saying "post 123 has now been returned to the thread".

This means that pearls of wisdom are not lost in the back-thread and never read again.

Appreciate your comments on this.

Yes, I take your point, but I think that this would actually act as an interruption to the flow of the conversation, which wouldn't be good. Actually very few postings are referred to me a day, normally just one or two, so it's not a big issue.

Hmmm.... but I have missed a posting for a couple of days, and could have missed it altogether, but for something else someone said further down the thread.

How would you feel if I started a thread asking what people think about this issue? I dont want to stir up moderation issues again, so I am a bit reluctant to do that. But I guess I could raise it on one of the site forums, rather than one of the general forums.

Won't do anything for a while anyway - too busy!

Certainly not as big an interruption as the referring! I believe that most people would be more than happy to have the information, and for those who don't, it's quite easy to skip reading it.
Actually, if it's very few postings, why not do it?

(It may not be a big issue to you, but it often is to the person who has posted!)
