Wet paint signs

0 Conversations

Signs, as we all know are designed to tell us about something that's either happened, happening or will happen.

For many years signs have helped us navigate around traffic problems, avoid delays, advised us to stop or slow down and to not touch the electric cable.

One sign that seems to fail everytime is the 'Wet Paint' sign.

Simple and in theory, very effective, it seems to fail to prevent people from touching the wet paint almost everytime it is approached. In fact it has the complete reverse effect. Millions upon millions of people have not taken note of the warning and found themselves touching the paint almost like a magnetic attraction.

There is no scientific reason for this failure to ignore this one sign. The English are thought to have started this type of behaviour, although this reamains uncomfirmed.
