Yes, indeed! Folks; It is a great pleasure to announce to the H2G2 community that the great and legendary Art Bell, the nation's leading personality on late night radio (even surpassing Larry King), is returning to the mic. Art had retired from radio on April 27,2000 due to family and legal matters. But, now the insomnia is on the brew; and the ufo conspiracies are about to be broken apart; cause nothing was going to keep this man from his all time passion, which is the medium of radio.
<BR/><BR/>
Kraig T. Kitchin, who is the president/COO of Premiere Radio Networks says,".I am ecstatic to welcome Art Bell back to his program,It was a bloody negotiation – pulling someone out of retirement always is. I am wildly enthusiastic to bring the news to affiliates and listeners nationwide... imagine their reaction! I also want to add my thanks to Mike Siegel."
<BR/><BR/>
The show features regulars like Richard Hoagland ('The Monuments of Mars : A City on the Edge of Forever), Linda Moulton Howe (An Alien Harvest), and Whitley Strieber (Communion). It is broadcast to more than 7,800 affiliates and reaches 180 million listeners weekly. Another thing that makes the show so popular was Art's desision not to screen the callers and allow anyone to share, contribute and ask questions. It really hits home with that kind of personality.
<BR/><BR/>
Since his retirement the show has dropped down to just 3 hours per program (most stations will repeat the first and second hour after the show has terminated). But, Art will restore the show back to its full five hours. "The negotiation was brutal and bloody! The result... fewer commercials and back to five hours," says bell.

So, there you have it, folks. If its that 1983 confrontation with the famed Sasquach that has kept you up at nights, or those bright lights you saw above the football game that told you that you were going to have a 'good year'; tune into Coast 2 Coast am and prove once and for all that your not crazy.
<BR/><BR/><BR/>
Art will return to the show on Feb. 5, 2001 and airs from 1am EST to 6.
