Wax Lips

wax lips are, well, a piece of wax molded into the shape of a pair of lips. Some of them have
teeth, as well. More often than not, they don't exactly look like lips. They are supposed to be
worn for the purposes of costuming, but are somewhat impractical: unfortunately, there is no real
way to apply wax lips so that they stay attached to the wearer's mouth reliably. Indeed, their
only mechanism of attachment is a piece of wax protruding from the inner part of the lip, meant
to be bitten upon. If the wearer were then to open his or her mouth, the lips would become
dislodged and their true identity would be revealed.
According to what the manufacturers would often have you believe, wax lips double as chewing gum.
This might be true in some parallel universe, but for all intents and purposes, wax lips are nothing
but wax. They also taste really, really awful.
