<P>Where ever you travel in Mexico, if you do not have sufficient command of Mexican Spanish to deal with the menu, you may be offered a chicken sandwich. Even if you are used to Mexican restaurant menus in the USA, you will find the menus cryptic in Mexico. But you will always be offered a chicken sandwich, no matter how far into the mountain villages you travel.
<P>Just say Yes to the chicken sandwich. Or, rather, "Si". It is the finest chicken sandwich on the planet. The chicken is shredded and marinated with good things. The bread is the ubiquitous hard roll, an honest, chewy hunk of "pan". Together, it is the perfect road food.
