Done - no fun having your birthday so soon before Christmas, is it? At least that's how I felt as a kid...

Great, that was quick
No it isn't. Most people don't even remember until after new year and I wasn't sent a singal birthday card for my last birthday. Always in the holidays so there's no one around and if you want to go out it's all Christmas parties.
Am somewhat resigned to it now however.

Well, at least now your h2g2 friends will know when it's your birthday now...
I remember one year when only my mother remembered my birthday - and then my brother but a bit belatedly - but on h2g2 I got something like 20 congratulations!
The best way to get people to remember your birthday to is to remember theirs - keep an eye on the h2g2 birthday pages for a familiar name!

Yes, I certainly got a lot more 'congratulations' on h2g2 on my last birthday than I did actual cards.
Tis a great idea to have all the dates written down

The idea wasn't mine (although it was brilliant) but some bloke's - but when I noticed that he seemed to have disappeared for one of those reaaally long lunches I asked if I could be allowed to keep the birthday pages updated until his return
