<P>Pumpkin Hook is a charming little hamlet within the Town of Farmington, just east of Rochester, New York. It consists of a fire hall, two churches, and a tiny grocery store.
<P>Early in the ninteenth century, the community of Farmington was rocked by the news of a fantastic squash theft. The whole town buzzed with news of the mysterious "Pumpkin Hooking," and the site of the event is still remembered today.
<P>Pumpkin Hook hosts the Farmington Fireman's carnival for three days every August, complete with rides, hot dogs, burgers, and a parade.
<P>Farmington, New York, also boasts Finger Lakes Racetrack, home of the New York Derby.
