The Hitchhiker's Guide to Londinivm

Londinivm is a browser-based RPG on the web, belonging to the category MMORPG (massive multiplayer online role playing game). Its name is synonymous with the ancient Roman town Londinium, which is the time and location in which the game takes place.

More specifically the action takes place around the time of the Roman invasions of Britain in the first centuries BC and AD, but is also widely generally accepted to take place around AD 120 so there is a certain degree of liberty in interpretation.

The game is on-going and currently the last reset was in summer 2004. There are no planned resets but major changes take place from time to time.

The players have organised themselves into tribes, some of which have a Celtic feel to them while others show Roman influences, however, the majority are far more diverse and resist being pidgeon-holed.

This article is under construction, however more information is available at the Londinivm Portal and some of the help documentation has been transcribed onto H2G2, see Introduction to Londinivm.

Finally, if you are in the game you can contact me under the name Nigellus or the ID number 10697.
