Hee hee hee...
Dearheart called me at 10:30, when I would've been asleep for two and a half hours, but I wasn't because I had been calculating my bank account in my head(what I am getting per month now versus what it should be later, how long it will take to replace the tuition I take OUT of the account, how much living in an apartment starting May will affect it all!!!!) and resolving to 1) drink more water(haahahahaha) 2)keep my closet better organised, along with my bedroom floor and this clutter around the computer 3) Study my butt off for these courses next semester-- because although I HATE math and science, I HAVE to HAVE these credits...
And so finally I told myself I couldn't calm my friend my brain, so I got up to take some Night Time Sinus stuff to make me feel better... and ten minutes later... dearheart calls...
OH!!! There was a point to this!!! I know it!!!
He won't be back til NINE tonight, so he I may not see until tomorrow... provided he wakes up at a decent time, not in the middle of the afternoon like he has been(oh!!! He has work tomorrow... pllllghhhh)!!!!
OK!!!!
Anyone who has managed to read through all of that, please know-- there are fun muse faces lurking everywhere... and I recommend visiting Bar Bacchus if you want to continue any friendships you have made at the Christmuse Dinner, or if your New Year's Resolution was to make more-- http://www.h2g2.com/A426872
THANK YOU!!!!

I managed...
Belated Happy New Year to those of you west of the eastern America! (To my knowledge, Dan, America isn't just US)
...and so what?
Ottox Posted Jan 2, 2001
...oh dear!... I never said Happy New Year to researchers in Caracas, Halifax, Nuuk and Rio!!!
Don't know of any in this thread, though! (Or at all?)

Darn tooting RIGHT that America isn't JUST the US!!!
But most Americans are ignorant of that fact. In fact, most of us are ignorant!!! OUCH!!! I am sooo harsh!!!

...but certainly not all of them...
The little newscast that comes over our tvs at Wal*Mart report that SAT scores(scores that determine which colleges you can attend) are the highest here since 30 years ago. Right.
"Are we breeding smarter children!??", my co-worker asked.
I think the test got easier, as has the school system... very sad...
...The fact that we have televisions in our "superstores" is QUITE revealing about our culture...

::thinks:: It's hard to go too many days without watching tv, because my mother always has her on, except for early morning when I am up and she's not, or during the 20 some hours that she teaches piano.
I guess the last TIME I actually paid attention to one was a few days ago, on Sunday, when the BRONCOS played terribly...
TV IS BAD!!! NO TV!!!
...and so what?
Hati Posted Jan 3, 2001
I love TV!!!
I like the things that talk to me if I want them to and also I can switch them off if I don't want them. And I like to watch TV while I am peeling potatoes or knitting etc. Sometimes it helps a lot to turn my mind off. I love TV.

Dragonfly. "A poet can survive everything but a misprint"-- Oscar Wilde Posted Jan 3, 2001
I use music for that reason!!!
OOO!!! Peeling potatoes!! That's fun!!!
After not seeing my dearheart throughout the holidays, he finally got home late the night before last-- HAD TO SEE HIM-- but he had to perform all sorts of fun housechores, so I helped him... it was actually quite fun!!!
HE listens to the radio to clean-- glad this conversation came to this-- Mom cleans with either the tv on or nothing, and that drives me NUTS!!!
Must have MUSIC!!!
...and so what?
Hati Posted Jan 3, 2001
Music is best for cleaning. But for all kinds of sitting works I prefer to do with the company of TV.
My latest favourite cleaning-music was Amanda Lear.

WHO!!!??? Oh!?? That blonde!?? From Canada!?? I think I have heard about her, but not OF her...
My favorite cleaning music varies. I like to dust my room to Melissa Etheridge. Three Dog Night and the White Album are the best for the living/piano room...
Anything I am listening to at the time works for the bathroom...

Ottox Posted Jan 3, 2001
I LOVE TV!!!
Therefore I love not to have one! I would use all my time watching trivial programs - now i use it here instead...
I HATE!!!! PEELING POTATOES!!!!
Most of all I LOVE MUSIC!!!! < aaaggghhh - no music-smiley>
