Chavs Origins

Chavs come from the town of Chatham in Kent. How do I know this you ask?
Well, I was born there, and have seen the whole chav trend rise. I believe it all started back in the early 90's when sports shops become available on every high street, materialism and representation in the form of golden ear rings became popular, and last but not least the youth of my home town became disenchanted with "normal" ways of life. It was in the late 90's with the rise of the legendary Chatham Girls website that this most annoying trend spread across the whole country, and ahence chav has now entered the English dictionary.
Luckily I myself never fell in to the whole chav trend, and thank god never will!
