The Circus is a collection of societies misfits, freaks, oddballs and ne'er-do-wells all congregating under a mobile giant canvas. A kind of roaming biological cesspit in which members of an unclassified human sub-species collect and are forced to perform varied acts of distaste in front of a fee paying public. Perhaps the most sinister of these 'artists' are the Clowns who usually appear in small groups (from 3 to 8) to terrorise the younger members of the audience while daubed with horrific looking make-up and wearing outrageously oversized pants. Another of these abhorrent incarnations is the juggler who will constantly and endlessly toss a variety of household implements into the air only to catch them and throw them back up again in the vain hope that you will find this lesson in futility somehow entertaining. Totally pointless.
