The Florence Nightingale pub, London

5 Conversations

The Florence Nightingale pub, located on a roundabout roughly between Westminster Bridge and Waterloo Station, is in all probability the most fan-friendly pub in London. All manner of science fiction fans meet there, from the British Science Fiction Association, to ZZ9 Plural Z Alpha, the official Hitch-Hiker's Guide To The Galaxy Appreciation Society who meet there every third Wednesday. Kevin, the landlord, proved so popular that ZZ9 members voted him in a a honorary member!
The first thursday of the month sees the regular London Circle SF fans meeting, founded by such luminaries as Arthur C. Clarke!
As well as SF fans, the pub is popular with gamers, and Laurel & Hardy fans!
They do pretty good pub food, and have a selection of guest ales.
