Zero goes around again

Zero is looking for a place, somewhere he can be happy, a perfect world 1. He soon realises that it cannot be found by looking outwards 2, so he looks inwards, inside his mind. Eventually he finds this magic land and arrives here and now 3. Outside of his head nothing much has changed but inside his head he is happy, its now a perfect world. Then comes the bad news, its very hard to remain in his present state of mind for very long. Its like trying to tune a bad radio into your favourite station, you swing past time and time again just catching glimpses of that beautiful music then its gone, which makes you all the more eager to tune in perfectly. Even when you do manage to tune it into the right station, after a while the background whistles start to creep in, and get worse and worse until its not recognisable anymore 4. But whats this zero finds? He drinks alcohol or takes certain drugs, and this makes him happy and carefree, he comes very close and occasionally lands in his perfect world. He also finds that wearing new and fashionable cloths helps him get to his perfect world. In fact there are many things of this materialistic nature (fruitcake) that help him on his way 5. This is great, there is just one small problem all this fruitcake costs money. Never mind he can save money by not paying for things. He could sneak on the bus or train without paying and then he can afford more fruitcake. He can steal things he wants, he can even steal things he doesnt want and then sell them. Then there are people, he can mug them or even kill them and take their money. Why not if it will help him get back to his perfect world? 6. Then zero realises its not getting the fruitcake that makes him happy in fact the happiness doesnt even come from the fruitcake itself, the true perfect world is still where it always was, inside his mind. The answer was there all the time. And so the horrible truth dawns on zero 7. But what of his fruitcake now? He can see it for what it really is. Without the happiness inside its worthless, hollow, its as if its made of cardboard 8. And so in the true style of zero the hero he sets off. To go around and around again, but this time he will try harder. If only it wasnt so easy to get lost on the way.

1. Essentially zero is a hedonist who believes that happiness it a thing, like an object that you can possesses.
2. Only zero can make zero happy its his feelings
3. Nirvana ,serenity
4. Perhaps his happiness is something relative, so without something to compare it to it fades to nothing {zero?}
5. The quick fix to inflate the ego
6. After all it is a rat race. Dog eat dog
7. Whoops
8. He who dies with the most toys wins!
