staying up late
Created | Updated Jan 28, 2002
benefits:
1. if you have friends in other time zones, this could be the only way of talking to them.
2. quite different thoughts come into your head at night as opposed to at daytime. this allows having a more broad perspective on life.
3. at night, emotions are expressed more vividly. this allows you to express greater fulfillment of happiness and sadness.
4. your parents/kids don't annoy you.
5. you can wake up late the next day if it's a weekend and so you can evade some duties your family puts up on you.
6. it's a time to do your homework if you are desperate to not be depressed from it during the afternoon and early evening.
not so benefits:
1. your health is greatly worsened, especially if you're still in need to wake up early the next morning. Staying up until 4:00 and having a 5:50 bus to catch is a bad idea, from personal experience. health can be slightly improved by taking a 3-7 hour nap in the evening, thus allowing yourself to further escape nuisance of other people in your family that you don't get along well with.
2. sometimes, depressing thoughts enter your head, and if they are severe, you may become in a suicidal condition. At this time, it is necessary to go to sleep, if necessary with a dose of ibuprofen to erase the thoughts from your head, and to not stay up late until whatever caused those suicidal thoughts goes away.
3. if you wake up someone else in the house, they will be mad.
