<h2><font face="Copperplate Gothic Bold"><strong><u>What is
Airsoft?</u></strong></font></h2>
<p><font face="Arial"><strong>Airsoft is a more and more popular
hobby originating from Japan. The idea is to shoot plastic
pellets at other players. Airsoft was designed to be a lot
cheaper version of paintball, so they are alike in many ways. The
differences between the two are:</strong></font></p>
<p><font face="Arial"><strong>-Price:Airsoft is a lot cheaper
than paintball and requires less equipment</strong></font></p>
<p><font face="Arial"><strong>-Reality factor:Airsoft uses
accurate 1:1 replicas of real weapons, making it more lifelike</strong></font></p>
<p><font face="Arial"><strong>-Easiness:You can organize an
airsoft match any day or start a new team in addition to the
bigger, organized Airsoft-games and teams like in paintball.</strong></font></p>
<h2><font face="Copperplate Gothic Bold"><strong><u>What does
Airsoft require?</u></strong></font></h2>
<p><font face="Arial"><strong>You can start with very little
equipment:Only a gun and some protective eyewear are necessary. A
camoflauged suit is recommended, especially when playing in the
woods.</strong></font></p>
<h2><font face="Copperplate Gothic Bold"><strong><u>What is an
Airsoft-gun like?</u></strong></font></h2>
<p><font face="Arial"><strong>Airsoft guns are accurate replicas
of real weapons:Pistols, Sniper rifles, Sub-machine guns,
Shotguns and even grenade throwers. Airsoft guns shoot plastc
pellet, which are 6 mm in diameter. There is a wide range of
accessories available, from lasersights to "tracers",
which make the pellets leave a glowing trace in the air when
shooting at night.</strong></font></p>
<p><font face="Arial"><strong>Airsoft guns can be divided into
the following groups by the method they use to propel the pellet:</strong></font></p>
<h3><font face="Arial"><strong><u>Spring action:</u></strong></font></h3>
<p><font face="Arial"><strong>Often the first acquisition of a
beginning hobbyist. Spring action guns use a spring to shoot the
pellet. The most common spring action guns are pistols, but many
sniper rifles also use springs.</strong></font></p>

<h5><font face="Arial"><strong>A spring action Beretta 92F.This
model is a special transparent version. It is chosen to be shown
here because it shows the inner mechanics of the gun.</strong></font></h5>
<p><font face="Arial"><strong>+ Cheap price</strong></font></p>
<p><font face="Arial"><strong>- You have to manually reload after
each shot</strong></font></p>
<h3><font face="Arial"><strong><u>Gas-powered:</u></strong></font></h3>
<p><font face="Arial"><strong>Gas-powered weapons are also often
pistols, but there are also very few gas-operated sub-machine
guns. The use of high-pressure gas makes the gun more powerful
compared to the spring-action weapon, but the biggest advantage
is that gas-operated weapons are semi-automatic, so you don't
have to reload your weapon after each shot. Gas-powered weapons
are divided into two groups, blowback and non-blowback. Blowback
means that the weapon simulates the cocking and reloading of a
real gun. </strong></font></p>

<h5><font face="Arial"><strong>Gas operated Glock 17 with

<p><font face="Arial"><strong>+Semi-automatic</strong></font></p>
<p><font face="Arial"><strong>+Blowback adds to the reality
factor</strong></font></p>
<p><font face="Arial"><strong>- Blowback consumes a little more
gas than non-blowback</strong></font></p>
<p><font face="Arial"><strong>-Blowback is a bit more expensive</strong></font></p>
<h3><font face="Arial"><strong><u>Electric:</u></strong></font></h3>
<p><font face="Arial"><strong>Practically all sub-machine- and
machineguns are operated by a motor inside the gun. The motor
allows the weapon to fire fully automatically, making it superior
to both spring- and gas operated guns. The motor is powered by a
special battery.</strong></font></p>

pellet to the eye can severely damage the eye and cause
blindness.</strong></font></p>
