Canabis and the fight for legalisation

1 Conversation

OK. so this isn't exactly a new topic, In the UK Canabis is illegal. Alcohol is legal however and there are over 40,000 alcohol related deaths each year in our little country.

In the last 2000 years there have been only 2 recorded deaths attributed to the use of canabis............ever.....anywhere! For some reason the British Government still see the need to prohibit the use of Canabis for either medical or recreational use.

The law states that no matter how little you are in posession of you can be cautioned or charged with the offence of posession.

As someone who values the relaxing effect of this wonderful little herb and benefits from it's pain killing power (I have a very bad back but thats another story altogether!) I fail to see the danger of this simple and non toxic little drug. Can anyone give a rational explanation as to why canabis should be illegal. I dont belive you can!!!
