Titania (gone for lunch)

Writing this entry, and especially making the first postings, made me cry...

...which of course IS a very natural way to react when loosing someone close to you...

...this forum is for those of you who feel the need to talk to someone, or listen, or hug, or just sit quietly in a corner, sipping your coffee, tea, wine, beer - whatever...

I'm in time zone GMT +1, and you'll usually find me here in the evening, and - sometimes - when I'm at work, but that depends entirelly (sp?) on how busy I am...

I'm fine, just a bit bored at w*rk right now...

...just noticed your candle - I understand you miss him - my Dad died 11 years ago, and I still miss him! But then, you learn to live with the loss, and they say that you're immortal as long as you live in somebody's mind, in their memory...smiley - hug

Yep, he'll always be here - because he's a part of you, right? Or the other way around - you carry a part of him...

You'll feel the loss again - off and on - sometimes more, sometimes less - but it's OK...

Exactly.

He's in this house. I can feel it. Nowhere else, just here. Always here, watching us. Don't like to leave the house, neither does my mum.

It's all so sad. smiley - sadface
It's just one of those sadnesses that penetrates to the very core of my being, that isn't polluted with anger or hate or disgust or regret or selfishness. It's just... sadness. In its purity.

Titania (gone for lunch)

Something a bit spooky happened shortly after my Dad had died:

My Mum used to baby sit the (then) 1½ year old son of one of my friends. One day she heard him bubbling happily away (he couldn't talk properly yet) in another room - she went there to see who he was talking to.

He was standing in the front of the chair my Dad mostly used, seemingly talking to someone in it - but it was empty...
