Chatterboxes

There are people who would debate the importance of the Chatterbox in Human Society. They believe that the spread of important news and information relies on the ever-lasting quest for meaningless events that Chatterboxes embark upon, so they can chatter about them. Without Chatterboxes, and their close relatives Gossips, news would not be able to travel as fast as it currently does, thusly setting back the communications business back countless numbers of years.
To the average Joe Bloggs however, the Chatterbox, while for a short period of time can be tolerated and even useful, prolonged exposure can lead to stress, tension and extreme annoyance. This annoyance may not only eminate from the subject of the Chatterbox's endless rabble, but also from people situated nearby, who are forced to listen to the non-stop tone of the Chatterbox's voice. Unfortunately for the Chatterbox, the annoyance they provoke, when not properly controlled, can lead to terminal injuries (to the Chatterbox), such is the anger of the listener. This is most likely to happen on a crowded vehicle, such as a bus or train or a room with lots of strangers in it.
The Chatterbox phenomenom is also prevalent on the internet, where unsuspecting victoms are lured into chatrooms, and terrified by the chatter are transfixed, unable to leave. If confronted by a Chatterbox, on the internet, or elsewhere, the best plan of action is to politley excuse yourself and make up an imaginary doctors appointment and leave. Quickly. Do not allow the Chatterbox to wish you well, or say goodbye, this is just a conversation starter that will allow them to open the verbal floodgates.
However you view Chatterboxes, there is no denying that they exist. The rest of the human race is just going to have to embrace their chatter no matter the cost.
