Fort Jones, California. USA

Fort Jones is a small town with about 500 people living there. Only an hour or so from Oregon, it's nice and quiet and surrounded by forest. If you find yourself in the area, I recommend checking out the Old Thyme Cafe, the food is good, the service is decent, and they make a killer mushroom burger. The town has one Rays market, and a laundrymat. The video rental place is pretty small, but it's the only place in town, so you don't get to complain. About thirty minutes past the farming areas and into the mountains is the Indian Scotty campground. It's a nice campground with water and bathrooms, no electricity though. Good dearhunting there. If you get bored in town, you can always go to the local bar and drink yourself into a happy stupor. The locals are friendly, and the gas is moderately priced. If you stop by, at least one stranger is going to wave and say hello to you.
