A charming seaside town on the South Coast of England, Exmouth is located in the county of Devon and the decade 1950.
Exmouth's claim to fame is that it has (had?) the largest school in Western Europe. This is because the local authority closed all of the quaint village schools in the surrounding area and forced all of the children to travel for miles by bus each day to go to Exmouth School.
