Pizza

Although credited as an Earth food source, Pizza is now widely believed to have been introduced to Earth sometime in the seventh century BC by Rippel Ran Gooselvardt from Argoon Hozelveld (a little known planet in the Horse Head Nebula). However the pizza was originally designed as a weapon system which once brought the galaxy to its knees, and it is (along with Cricket) one of the reasons Earth is shunned by much of the civilised universe.
Having said that, pizza is an excellent form of sustenance for hitch hikers. Cheaply available across the globe, it comes in many very tasty varieties. Different toppings are on offer to suit most tastes, although Mangalonian Fruit-Fly is not yet available on Earth. This is a pity as it would go particularly well on Pizza.
