Manly, NSW, Australia

Manly is a suburb of Sydney, the capital of New South Wales in Australia. It is located on the northern side of the harbour and straddles an isthmus between Sydney harbour and the Pacific ocean.
The slogan used to popularise this beach side suburb in the early twentieth century was "Only nine miles from Sydney, but a thousand miles from care."
Almost the home of surfing in Australia, that honour goes to Freshwater beach in Harbord - the next suburb north, Manly makes up for it by claiming the best beaches. Anywhere. Period. There are none better. Honest.
